One register for everything the business owns — what it cost, which category it is, where it is and who has it — with every hand-over kept as history.
The laptop list is in an HR spreadsheet, the fixed asset register is in the CA's Excel, and nobody can say who has the projector.
What you get
One record per thing you own
A name, the cost and the date are enough to add one. The category brings its useful life, method and Income Tax block with it, and the photo, purchase bill and warranty card sit on the same record.
Indian defaults in one click
Categories set up from the Companies Act Schedule II useful lives, with 5% residual value and each category's Income Tax block, so the register starts the way a CA would lay it out.
Who has it, and since when
Issue an asset to an employee — with or without a login — a department or a customer site, take it back, or move it between rooms. Each step is a line of history that cannot be edited, so "who had it on the 3rd" has an answer.
Offices, floors and rooms
Locations form a tree, like Head Office › Floor 2 › Room 204, and attendance uses the same list, so a new branch is added once.
Bring in the register you already keep
Upload a CSV or paste the rows straight out of Excel. Indian dates and amounts are read as written, every row is checked before anything is saved, and depreciation to date comes across with each asset.

Add several identical assets at once. Each gets its own code, and serial numbers can be pasted one per line.
